Zlatan Ibrahimovic simply owns the Serie A

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored another magnificent goal last weekend to continue his fantastic form since returning to the Italian Serie A.  He now leads AC Milan in goals (8) and assists (6) this season, and has just proven how ideal of a striker he is for the league...big, strong, skillful, deceptively fast, and most of all, a world-class finisher.  He is the type of player you must keep on the field at all times.  He could be non-existent for the entire match and then just make an unbelievable game-changing play to win the game.

The big Swede joined Juventus Turin from Ajax Amsterdam back in 2004, and made an instant impact.  He scored 16 goals in 45 appearances for Juve, but his time there was shortlived.  Juventus was relegated to the Serie B after the big scandal in Italy.  He won two league titles with them, but as a result of the scandal, the titles were stripped away, and Zlatan joined Inter Milan.

At Inter Milan, Ibrahimovic continued to flourish.  He became the defender's nightmare as he scored 66 goals in 116 appearances and won three consecutive Serie A titles.  In 2008, he scored a majestic backheel flick against Bologna, and earned the "Goal of the Year" honor.  After cementing his legacy in Italy, he could not resist the temptation of joining Spanish giants FC Barcelona.  The expectations were enormous.  With the squad Barca had, they were expected to win every single trophy.  He ended up scoring 21 goals in 41 appearances, but since they were upended in the UEFA Champions League semifinal by his old team, Inter Milan, his first season was considered to be somewhat of a flop.  Imagine the pressure.  You score 21 goals in one season, one of which was a game-winning goal against Barcelona's fiercest rival, Real Madrid, AND you win the La Liga title, yet you have still not fulfilled their expectations.

As a result of a fallout with Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola, Zlatan moved back to Milan.  This time he suited up for Inter's rivals AC Milan, and he continues to spoil everyone with his unique talents.  He is the man they call "The Big Swede", the man who makes everyone else on the field look like boys, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, ladies and gentlemen.
